About Leca:

LECA, also known as Clay Balls or Clay Pebbles, stands for lightweight expanded clay aggregate. Essentially, LECA consists of small, baked clay balls that expand as they absorb water, creating an ideal environment for plant growth.

Perfect for hydroponic systems, LECA serves as a superb alternative to conventional potting mixes. Its porous structure provides exceptional moisture retention, offering plants consistent and well-balanced hydration. Additionally, it facilitates excellent aeration for healthy root systems that help to reduce the risk of root rot and fungus gnats significantly. 

Although LECA lacks essential nutrients, it serves as an excellent growing medium, allowing precise control over nutrient delivery and regulated water levels for your plants. Pair it with liquid fertilizers to create an optimal growth environment for your indoor or outdoor garden.
